Lo primero que hicimos fue tirar la alfombra del salón, que era marrón y tenía más años que nosotros. Nos quedamos con el sofá, que es feo pero comodísimo, y con la estantería de la entrada. Compramos cortinas nuevas, dos almohadas y una lámpara de techo, y con eso la casa cambió entera. Lo más difícil fue el espejo del pasillo: pesa veinte kilos y estuvo tres semanas en el suelo esperando a que alguien trajera un taladro.The apartment we rented came furnished, but the furniture was left over from the landlord's grandmother and smelled of a closed wardrobe. The first thing we did was throw out the living room rug, which was brown and older than us. We kept the sofa, which is ugly but very comfortable, and the shelf unit in the hallway too. We bought new curtains, two pillows and a ceiling lamp, and with that the house changed completely. The hardest thing was the mirror in the hallway: it weighs twenty kilos and stood on the floor for three weeks until someone brought a drill.
