Why it looks that way

The infix before the future means 'a little, lightly': not 'I will think' but 'I will think it over a bit'. Without it the promise sounds heavier.

A word with a story stays in memory longer than one learned as a “spelling — translation” pair: memory holds on to meaning, not to a string.
